"Light the light in you. Inspire your children." Mary Grant, Cappucinno Moments For Mothers
Here are ten principles for parents to consider:
1. LOVE YOUR CHILDREN
" Loving a child doesn't mean giving in to all his whims; to love him is to bring out the best in him, to teach him to love what is difficult."
Nadia Boulanger
2. SET A GOOD EXAMPLE
"Don't forget that you are, or ought to be, your children's ideal of all that is perfection, and that it is your duty to live up to those ideals in every possible way. Not an easy task, but wonderfully inspiring."
Mrs G.E. Jackson
3. BE GENUINE IN ALL YOU DO AND SAY
"Every word and deed of a parent is a fibre woven into the character of a child, which ultimately determines how the child fits into the fabric of society."
4. ATTEND TO YOUR CHILDREN'S NEEDS
"To be in your children's memories to morrow, you have to be in their lives today"
5.BE PATIENT, CONSISTENT AND PERSISTENT
"Children just don't fit into a "to do" list very well. It takes time to be an effective parent when children are small. It takes times to intoduce them to good books, it takes time to fly kites and play ball and put together jigsaw puzzles. It takes time to listen."
Dr. James Dobson
6.KEEP AN OPEN MIND
"Do not confine your children to your own learning, for they were born in another time."
Chinese Proverb
7.KEEP IT SIMPLE
"Likely as not, the child you can do the least with will do the most to make you proud."
Mignon McLaughlin
8.KEEP BELIEVING
"All children are gifted. Some just open their package earlier than others."

"Every child is born a genius"
Robert Fuller
9. KEEP ACTIVE
"Parent's influence is inevitable and continuous; they cannot be passive if they would. You cannot really neglect your children, but you can destroy them."
Frederick W. Faber
10. SHOW EMPATHY
"Blessed is the child who has someone who believes in him, to whom he can carry his problems unafraid."
