Mid Year School Holidays

Diam tak diam dah half of the school term. In Malaysia we usually have a school break after 10 weeks of schools. So basically 10 weeks after the 1st day of school we will then have the one week school break in March. Except this year they moved it to a bit later because of public holidays ie CNY. Then after another 10 weeks we have the mid year school break during end May early June.

As usual I had prepared some activities for the children and family. Err...something within a simple budget. There were a few compulsory trips eg. balik kampung *to JB this time and a wedding in Kuantan (bride side) and in KL (groom side). So basically last school hols were planned around this 3 main occasions.

Started our trip south early Friday morning. Sampai JB terus ke Legoland.

Personally the current Legoland is most suitable for children in the age range of 5-15yo. Lebih kurang gitu lah. The tickets memanglah a bit expensive. Ya lah kan nama pun Legoland. Lego memang toys yang masuk dalam golongan toys yang a bit expensive pun but tahan bertahun-tahun. Dah terlanjur balik JB kita singgahlah sekali. Kawan anak-anak semua dah pegi. Peer pressure lah jugak ni or actually lebih kepada kesian. Nak masuk Spore tak sempat lagi pun will be more expensive. Food is not bad in Legoland. We went for the pizza deal. Worth it for the 5 of us. Pizza sedap and mushroom soup pun sedap....

We were in JB Friday to Sunday morning. Sempatlah pekena seafood di Senibong, beli alas meja di Metrojaya (he..he...di KL tak kuasa nak ke Metrojaya), attended kenduri Mak Long, makan nasi minyak and visit Aunty Huda and Nenek before sambung perjalanan balik ke PH.

I promised the kids that they will have one activity during the weekday so they wanted to watch EPIC. Kebetulan one of the days Mr M ada meeting in Putrajaya so he picked us up on his way to the office.

The story is about a teenager who finds herself transported to a deep forest setting where a battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil is taking place. She bands together with a rag-tag group characters in order to save their world.

The storyline is so so but ok lah for the kids. Btw its also about father and daughter relationship.

On the next weekend we started our journey to Gambang on Friday jugak. Sempat singgah Leha Kelfood for breakfast sebelum ke Gambang. Checked in early around 11am tukar baju terus ke Gambang Waterpark sampai ke petang. Puas lah anak-anak main air. Mama je tak masuk air sebab Sarah tertinggal seluar swimming dia so dia pakai yang mama punya *rolleyes. Malam sempat melawat Abang Za & Kak Ya di Bandar Damansara. Tengok renovation tambah lagi 2 bilik atas bawah untuk cucu. The couple belum pencen pun lagi tapi 6 anak semua dah kahwin dan cucu dah 9 orang....2 org lagi otw. The additional rooms boleh jadi dorm untuk cucu. Pintu pun masuk kot luar :-D The house itself ada 6 bilik & 6 toilets. Kita tengok je K Ya busy masak rendang untuk dijadikan hantaran esok hari. Rendang masak dalam periuk tembaga lagi tu......

Petrosains for Sultans of Science Exhibition

Dah lama perasan ada exhibition ni tapi tak la kesampaian until they sell the tickets through Groupon. Terus beli tiket and made a point to go (sebab dah beli tiket kan...) Again tumpang Mr M on his way to office from Putrajaya. He dropped us at Kelana Jaya and we took the train to KLCC. Semangat lah anak-anak dah setahun tak naik train. Later Mr M joined us at KLCC after his meeting in Jln Sultan Ismail.

The school holidays ends with the Kenduri in Bukit Kiara. Makanan adalah amat sedap ok.....
