Since evaluation is a norm where ever we are. Once a year I try to look back and made some adjustment here and there. I am no supermom you see. Dah lama surrender the title. Nowadays I am more of do what I can at the moment mom. I plan lotsa things but when the time comes I only do what I can. Prioritizing things is my main agenda. I grab whatever I think possible and try not to meddle on things that I know I can do without. I sacrifice a lot (who doesn’t) and I pray that I dipanjangkan umur dan dimurahkan rezeki so that there will be a time when I can do what I like without feeling guilty. For now, my family is my priority. Bab jadi SAHM je belum menjadi kenyataan. Looking at my workload in the office ahhhh….2012 insyaAllah.
I 100% believe setiap orang, setiap keluarga ada dugaan masing-masing. And the fact that setiap family adalah berbeza-beza depending on their background and life experiences. We are far from a perfect family. Afiq needs daily reminders on washing his hair and brushing his teeth. Boleh gitu? Sarah & Hannah still throws tantrum when they feel like it. At one time we avoided going to shopping mall because the children keep arguing in the car. I guess that is just erm…normal.
Apart from that I feel so grateful because my children can be considered mature for their age except the anak bongsu lah kan. But still she can do most of the things by herself cuma ada masa nak manja gitu. There are rare nights when both girls berebut nak basuh pinggan and there are more nights when the children ignored my instructions to help out *sigh.
We do lots and lots of informal discussions in the family. We did these unconsciously but some people have actually observed these. Ha..ha..ha…kelakar jugak lah when one of my staffs brought out the incident when my children were asked to decide among themselves nak terus masuk pool or to go out jalan-jalan first. That happened during my dept. PD family day trip. Mr actually said “Pegi discuss adik beradik nak buat mana dulu” during breakfast. If you happen to see 3 children do O SOM among them at any cashiers to choose the flavors of a pack of mentos errrr they are mine actually. Negotiating skills semua ambik yang ayah ya.
There are some occasions where I had to explain things to them. Things as simple as Sarah wanting to have long hair siap nak ikat-ikat rambut lagi to school. I don’t blame her since there are quite a number of girls who actually came to school with nice tocang but I need her to understand that I don’t need extra headache in the morning. Without helper at home, early morning is always the busiest for me. Mana nak make sure uniform (vest+tie+kasut+socks), baju sukan, baju kafa, tudung lah, sapu tangan lah, normal clothes for TS lah. Plus nak siapkan breakfast and bekal for everyone. Bekal for sk & bekal for kafa lagi. Tak kira lagi benda-benda adhoc yang nak kena bawa ke SK or kafa or TS. I did most of it the night before but still the breakfast & bekal pun kelam kabut. Itu pun I dah ada my SOP ha..ha..routine..routine…is my key word to stay sane.
Pau is my best bet for breakfast. Masuk kitchen and start steaming naik atas I can mandi and pray subuh. Mr will come down and switch of the stove. If goreng-goreng leceh skit lah kan kena tunggu. Enough sleep is my priority so I only wake up at 6am.
I can see more and more timetables being put up in TigaTiga as the children grow older. If not timetables pun I have unwritten instructions as simple as whose turn to choose the tv channel today, whose turn to put the dirty laundry in the laundry bin heh..heh…I have made a study timetable but since its still early so bagi ‘can’ lah kan. If I catch ada yang lepak tengok tv and tak buat homework maka akan naiklah official study timetable. Bukan strict pun but at least if they don’t feel like watching tv (hari-hari muak jugak kan) senang I nak suruh buka buku apa.
Since I so love buying books for my children this year I made a new rule. If nak beli new books kena make sure dah habis buku lama. At the same time nak continue my reading record book but this time nak kena record number of pages. Mana aci Afiq baca buku yang nipis-nipis kan. Currently he is reading 39 Clues and Sarah reading Enid Blyton Enchanted series Book 1. Hannah masih the simple 3 letter word books. I managed to accumulate quite a number of Islamic books when I did playgroups for uks last time. 80% of the rm that I got from being the instructor actually goes back to uks he..he..This year I really hope I can fully utilized those books especially during Ramadhan.
Since I can’t do everything that I wanted so I am ok with doing at least a bit here and there. Dari tak buat apa-apa langsung kan.
This week mr is busy studying for his interview. All the best to my dearest. We are also looking forward to our first trip in 2010. Singapore here we come……the planning part so far so good. Annual leave dah approved. Hotel dah confirm fairm0nt after knowing asc0t does not have parking for visitors (mcm tak percaya hotel takde parking kan). Will bring the children to the zoo while mr attending his training. Not going for shopping though (takde pitih) unless I found something that I can redeem for my birthday present.
